We are featured in Class 95!

Once again, thank you Class 95 for the feature and for sharing our hot topic on the importance of preserving our local heritage.

Why we are Doing This

Ever since the hotly debated topic of Singapore losing its local heritage, we have seen more small businesses stand out to raise awareness of the importance of preserving it. Kueh, one of the dying desserts that was widely popular back in the late 1900s, is now losing its fame in modern times. Issues arise such as:

  • Requiring long hours to create and sell
  • Taste doesn’t fit into the likings of the modern era
  • High cost for the dessert

These issues were raised and discussed in Netflix as well which we are featured in. With the vision to promote our local heritage, Kueh Ho Jiak has gone above and beyond to serve high-quality kueh that fits our current generation. That means kueh with all sorts of unique flavors such as hei bi hiam, sweet potato, and strawberry.
